Job Description

About Night

Night is a next-generation media holding company redefining talent representation for the digital age. Night manages over 200 of the world’s most influential digital creators across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch. With a fully bootstrapped foundation and a digital-first ethos, Night has emerged as a cultural powerhouse at the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship, and the creator economy. The company’s comprehensive suite of services includes talent management, a venture studio, a rapidly growing licensing division, and a top-tier podcast network. As the traditional media landscape continues to evolve, Night is building the infrastructure that empowers individual creators to become global brands.

About The Role

Night is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Director of Finance to build and lead core financial functions as the company enters its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the President, this person will own company-wide financial planning, performance analysis, and business modeling. The Director will play a key role in supporting decision-making across all areas of the business—from creator management to new ventures and M&A.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to help shape the financial architecture of a modern media company operating at the frontier of the creator economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale Night’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with growth objectives across core business lines (talent management, ventures, licensing, podcasting).
  • Build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, strategic initiatives, investments, and potential acquisitions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Corporate Development, Operations, Talent, Legal) to support deal diligence, pricing strategies, and scenario planning.
  • Deliver actionable insights through monthly financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis.
  • Own and evolve internal finance processes, including headcount planning, vendor spend, and creator P&Ls.
  • Serve as a key partner to external stakeholders such as auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.
  • Develop internal controls and scalable systems for a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in finance roles within high-growth media, tech, or consumer companies - ideally with exposure to both FP&A and strategic finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in entrepreneurial environments.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and translating data into strategic recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of business models in media, digital content, or creator-focused platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions across senior stakeholders.
  • Located in (or willing to relocate to) Los Angeles.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with M&A processes, including modeling, diligence, and post-close integration.
  • Experience working in companies that blend services and IP (e.g., talent management, studios, agencies).
  • Comfort operating with limited infrastructure - building from 0 to 1.
  • Passion for the creator economy, digital media trends, and entrepreneurial business models.
