Audible TreatsUnited StatesPosted

Job Description

Audible Treats is looking for a creative, plugged-in Junior Publicist to join our team. Candidates must be based in New York or Los Angeles. If you live and breathe rap, R&B, and internet culture, and you’re ready to grow your career in music and entertainment PR, we want to hear from you. You bring a strong foundation in media strategy, a sharp instinct for what’s next, and a natural feel for storytelling. You’re immersed in the culture, curious about how trends take shape, excited to create wins behind the scenes for your clients rather than seeking the spotlight yourself, and ready to grow in the fast-moving world of entertainment PR. If you’re excited by creativity, collaboration, and cultural impact, you’ll fit right in here.

We’re a boutique PR agency based in Brooklyn, known for shaping stories around some of the most talked-about artists, labels, and music moments in the game. Our roster past and present includes Central Cee, Chance the Rapper, Chief Keef, Lupe Fiasco, Sexyy Red, Key Glock, Young Dolph, Trippie Redd, E-40, Farruko, Lil Durk, TikTok, Rolling Loud Festival, Atlantic Music Group, Interscope, gamma, Rebel Music, Alamo Records, EMPIRE, RCA, Interscope, and more. Position Overview

As a Junior Publicist, you’ll help run press campaigns, pitch stories, and build connections with media and influencers. You’ll work side-by-side with senior team members to learn the ins and outs of PR while making a real impact on live campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who’s hungry to level up in music and pop culture communications.

What You’ll Do

  • Media Outreach: Pitch and build relationships with media, influencers, and cultural platforms. Help craft stories that connect artists to their audiences. Contribute creative ideas to campaigns that make noise online and IRL
  • Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and rollout of PR campaigns across music, entertainment, and brand clients.
  • Research & Reporting: Monitor media coverage, create coverage reports, and analyze campaign performance.
  • Client Support: Participate in client calls and brainstorms; maintain organized media lists and databases.
  • Event Assistance: Support media logistics for virtual and in-person events, red carpets, and interviews.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field (internships count).
  • Cultural Expertise: Deeply immersed in Black music and culture, especially rap and R&B. Genuine enthusiasm for today’s music and media landscape.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication and attention to detail - you know how to tell a story that resonates.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Unafraid to ask for help or clarification if needed.
  • Media Awareness: Familiarity with key publications, journalists, and social media trends in entertainment and music.
  • Dependable and Social: Comfortable with the fast pace of entertainment - responsive to client needs and team updates after hours when news breaks or opportunities pop up. Love going to shows, events, and connecting with new people in the scene.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Work directly with senior publicists and artists, no endless hierarchy
  • Opportunities to share your ideas and see them come to life
  • A supportive, creative environment that values balance, curiosity, and culture
  • Hybrid flexibility (for NY-based candidates) and a team that genuinely loves what we do

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience working with artists, record labels, or entertainment brands.
  • Graphic design or social media marketing/management experience (Canva, Photoshop, etc.).
