The Creative Marketing Operations team is seeking a Business Manager who will be an integral part of the team supporting Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Marketing with a focus on creative marketing. The Business Manager will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will manage contracts and commitments in partnership with creative stakeholders to inform budget allocations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures. In addition, the Business Manager is responsible for working closely with the controllership and finance teams to maintain monthly and quarterly forecast or close reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain title commitments and build reports in Salesforce to inform DET Creative teams of their budget allocations.
- Share Flash Summaries and keep budget live and up to date based on project needs and contracts.
- Liaise with Finance and Controllership on behalf of the creative teams to ensure accuracy of P&L. Connect and communicate with all levels of creative management and project management. Work with Manager to handle reflows between titles.
- Support Manager with reconciling invoices and flagging overages.
- Foster collaboration and build relationships across departments to achieve shared objectives.
- Ensure internal controls are followed
- Be compliant with the Walt Disney Company Policy and Procedures in managing business finance operations through partnering with Finance and the business teams (Hulu Brand, Performance, and Live Marketing, and overall DET marketing.
- Ad hoc reporting as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance ideally at a streaming or entertainment company
- Self‐starter with critical thinking, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills, and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- SAP, Workday knowledge
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Google Drive apps
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP and Airtable
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related major
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $94,200.00 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
