About the role: The Specialist, Partnerships, will play a key part in the agency’s business and partnership development efforts. This role provides crucial support by coordinating and executing talent/brand partnership programs, contributing to proposals and pitches, and conducting research. Applicants should already possess a deep understanding of the entertainment and marketing landscapes, as well as a knack for cultural fluency.


This is a new role for G7, and we’re excited to bring in someone who has a genuine enthusiasm for it all: music, sports, entertainment, art, culinary, travel, and beyond. The Specialist should be eager to dive deep into understanding our clients and their audiences, and help translate current trends into opportunities for authentic connection and lasting impact.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has at least 3-5 years of experience in the workforce and can successfully manage multiple projects with minimal oversight. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills, as it involves working directly with clients and high-profile partners. Prior experience in the entertainment industry is a must.


A successful Partnerships Specialist will expertly balance a diligent, process-oriented approach with the agility required for fast-paced interactions with talent and clients. Taking on increasing ownership of work and confidently navigating all stages of the partnership lifecycle will be key benchmarks for advancing to a Senior Specialist role.


Key Responsibilities & Expectations

Program Management - Partnerships:

  • Work closely with the Partnerships team to to support planning, coordination, and execution of net new talent opportunities and existing client talent partnership programs

  • Assist in the development of talent partnership proposals, from ideation to final presentation and negotiation when applicable

  • Track on deals that have been closed to ensure adherence to deal points from all sides

  • Create and maintain documents in a clear, concise, and detailed manner for client and agency backup, including points of view, recaps, reporting, trackers, agendas, and timelines

  • Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timelines are tracked and deadlines are met

  • Learn and integrate into G7’s existing operational procedures, working closely with other G7 / Project teams, to ensure seamless collaboration

  • When appropriate, develop new or adjust existing operating procedures for the department


Industry Knowledge & Research:

  • Constantly monitor current marketing, cultural, music, and entertainment trends

  • Conduct brand research and competitive analysis to support new business efforts

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of historical talent/brand partnerships

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of active talent/brand partnerships

  • Foster strong relationships with talent/entertainment industry partners, especially agents, labels, and management teams

  • Become a trusted source of industry insight, ready to confidently share expert POV with internal and external stakeholders

  • Work with G7 and Project leadership to identify and appeal to existing clients that may be warm to integrations and partnerships with G7 destination resort programs

  • Analyze and report on outcomes of new business efforts

  • Adjust strategy and tactics with agility to maximize opportunities or mitigate shortfalls


Growth & Development:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of and passion for G7’s business, industry, and clients

  • Maintain a detailed, up-to-date understanding of G7 and Project’s capabilities and case studies, and be able to present and answer questions demonstrating G7 and Project’s value to external partners

  • Support identification of new potential clients and strategic partners with developed ideas and solutions as part of the intended outreach

  • Participate in new client pitches and RFP opportunities, conducting research and assist in preparations for meetings and presentations

  • Collaborate purposefully with all members of integrated internal and external teams, establishing your role as a trusted strategic partner for clients and colleagues

  • Travel to markets, client meetings, and events as needed (6-8x per year minimum)

  • Work with your manager to track and accomplish personal and departmental KPIs and goals, and conduct regular 1:1 meetings and annual performance reviews

  • Maintain a current understanding of all G7 capabilities and client programs

  • Promote G7, Project, talent partners, and clients in a positive way at all times

  • Be able and willing to travel up to 6-8 times per year for pitches, meetings, or program executions


Qualifications

  • Min. 3-5 years of brand marketing partnerships, talent partnerships and/or new business development

  • Required prior entertainment industry experience: agency, artist management, or label strongly preferred, and an overall understanding of entertainment industry operations

  • Highly attuned to a broad range of entertainment and cultural trends

  • Prior experience supporting day-to-day relationships between internal and external parties

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a detail-oriented, organized approach

  • Well-rounded, creative thinker

  • Attentive to details, with excellent observation, listening, and communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible team player

  • A self-starter able to work collaboratively as well as independently

  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Asana also preferred)

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities

  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information

  • Ability to work outside standard business hours and travel for work as needed

  • Polished, professional demeanor, projects confidence and enthusiasm for the business

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience


Work Environment

If Nashville

  • *Hybrid, in-person at least three days per week

  • Partially open office, noise levels moderate


If Chicago, New York City, or Atlanta

  • May include offsite meetings with colleagues, clients, or partners
