Arizona PBS has created the Arizona PBS Education Ambassador Program and we are recruiting statewide for these Arizona PBS Education Ambassadors which are early childhood educators (Prek-3) to implement PBS education resources in the community in which they live. This position is an on call grant funded position. Educators selected to be Ambassadors will be trained on the Arizona PBS and Ready to Learn education resources PBS. Salary: $25/hour.
Essential Duties:
- Attend multi-day PBS Education Ambassador Training which includes training on PBS Family and Community Learning Workshops, Camps and other PBS Education Resources and services.
- Plan, Coordinate and Facilitate Family and Community Learning Workshops, Camps and other workshops when needed.
- Plan, Coordinate and Facilitate professional development for educators when needed.
- Develop partnerships with local non profits, community centers, libraries and within their own school community to create awareness and promote Arizona PBS and Ready to Learn resources.
- Utilize the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry as the registration system for educator workshops and professional development.
- Utilize Basecamp to share best practices and collaborate with other Ambassadors and Arizona PBS Station staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education or related field.
- Fluency in language prevalent in your community (i.e. Spanish, Navajo…)
- Classroom teaching experience
- Experience teaching adults
- Demonstrated skill in written and oral communication
Working Environment:
- Ability to lift over 25 pounds
- Current and valid Arizona Driver’s license (they need to have a car and be able to travel within their community and to Arizona PBS as needed).
- Current Arizona Fingerprint card
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.Driving Requirement:
This position may require driving. Employee must possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.Location:
