Job Description
Support the Telemundo Deportes team in the planning and production of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Interns will work directly with the production team across various projects ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics. These include research and pre-production aspects of Athlete Profiles, Host City Profiles, and other work.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing the day-to-day assignments in preparation for a show. The role of the Intern also extends across the department, working on a variety of functions as needed.
- Meet with Producers to plan and carry out production assignments; including preparing materials for editing and pre-production.
- Coordinate with show Associate Producer and/or Chief Editor to maintain, music cue sheets, research for graphics, and gather footage for editors.
- Coordinate logistical needs for studio guests or live shots with producers. General office work in preparation for a show.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be working from within the United States during all hours worked.
Desired Competencies:
- Students with a class standing of junior or above are preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong interest in the media industry.
- Commitment to building an inclusive work environment.
- Previous internship experience and on-campus involvement. \An interest in sports broadcasting with an emphasis on soccer for US Hispanic domestic markets.
- Read and speak Spanish fluently.
- Ability to interact effectively with all sports operation personnel and specific department personnel.
- Ability to multi-task and follow directions from numerous sources.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to communicate in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to represent the department and company in a professional and ethical manner.
- An emphasis on a Digital/Broadcast degree in Communications is preferred.
- Editing software like Adobe Premier or Avid a plus.
- Office, Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Social Media video creation software.
The internship hourly rate for undergrad students is $17.00 and $25.00 for MBA or master's degree.
