The incumbent provides communications, marketing, and general administrative support to the School of Theater, Film and Television, and its two Departments: Department of Film, Television and Digital Media and Department of Theater. The Communications and Marketing Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the creative process for internal and external communications, marketing materials, media releases, and advertisements, including but not limited to social media, printed ads, mass mailers and individual e-mail. This includes film and show posters and postcards, development, keeping/updating mailing lists, distribution of departmental and University news and communications to students, faculty and staff through electronic communication methods as well as audience.

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the development and execution of internal and external communications and marketing initiatives for the School and its Departments. The responsibilities of the incumbent will span a broad range of tasks, including content creation, social media management, and event coordination. From drafting content for diverse audiences and marketing channels to collaborating with cross-functional teams, the incumbent will ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to brand management by maintaining consistency across various platforms and actively engaging with constituents. The role will also have a focus on analytics and reporting, and the incumbent will track key performance indicators to provide insights to optimize marketing campaigns. Note this is a hybrid position with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

1. Proficiency with personal computer and software in a Windows and Mac environment. Ability to learn new programs quickly and thoroughly.

2. Proficiency in Adobe Suites, web content development and social media.

3. Demonstrated skill in answering, screening, and redirecting communications and requests for information and acting as the "point of contact" for the department.
