Knife Drop Studios, the production company behind celebrity chef and social media personality Nick DiGiovanni, is hiring a full-time Head of Post-Production to lead and evolve the entire post-production pipeline across both longform and shortform content.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced, highly organized, and forward-thinking Head of Post-Production who can oversee all post-production operations across the company. You should be equal parts creative, operational, and technical—able to guide editorial tone, build efficient systems, and manage a growing team of in-house and freelance editors.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, often demanding, and ever-evolving content environment and is excited about architecting workflows, developing scalable systems, and ensuring all content—across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and more—maintains exceptional quality, speed, and consistency.

You should have deep experience leading post-production teams, building workflows, implementing cloud-based solutions, and unifying creative outputs across multiple platforms and formats.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work closely with Nick DiGiovanni and key creative leaders including creative directors, senior editors, and producers. You’ll serve as the primary bridge between leadership and all post-production contributors—longform editors, shortform editors, motion designers, freelancers, and external partners.

As Head of Post-Production, you will work with top leaderships to establish processes, lead team meetings, manage communication across departments, and ensure that every deliverable meets the creative, technical, and strategic standards of the brand, while meeting firm deadlines.

What you’ll bring to the team

3–5+ years of professional post-production experience, with several years in a leadership or management role
Strong background managing both longform and shortform editorial pipelines with cross-functional communication and smooth collaboration
Expertise in workflow architecture, including cloud-based solutions like LucidLink and automation tools such as Airtable + n8n
A collaborative mindset aligning diverse perspective to unify brand voice, tone, and visual identity across formats and platforms
Proven ability to build templates, asset libraries, review pipelines, and scalable systems that improve speed and consistency
Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling principles, retention, pacing, and platform-specific best practices
Strong technical instincts around media management, naming conventions, deliverable organization, and export standards
Experience leading team meetings, 1:1s, reviews, and feedback cycles
A track record of mentoring, managing, and developing editors across multiple disciplines (longform, shortform, graphics, AE, sound)
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Bonus: experience with sound design, motion graphics, color workflows, or advanced editorial QC systems
