WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Content Producer, Marketing & Communications will develop, produce, capture, and edit compelling video, audio, and moving graphic content to further the mission of MusiCares. You are an experienced Content Producer that will play a key role in executing MusiCares’ digital strategy. Your creativity, technical skills, and communication skills will be essential in supporting the Marketing & Communications team in this position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate on and execute a digital content strategy that promotes awareness of MusiCares' mission, goals, programs, and services and that delivers on-brand, diverse, and inclusive content.
  • Write, capture, produce, and edit highly engaging and shareable audio, video, and static content for MusiCares’ website and social platforms including Instagram, Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, while keeping a pulse on new and emerging platform content tools.
  • In partnership with the Senior Social Media Manager, identify and execute content that organically includes MusiCares in larger trends and social conversations. Participate in regular meetings through brainstorming for trending material and driving ideation efforts to present to internal stakeholders.
  • Through a combination of self-capture and film crew management, attend MusiCares’ programs, clinics, and events to produce content that authentically tells the story of our mission and how we help the music community.
  • Create and capture original content to develop an asset library for PR, brand campaigns, events, marketing materials, website, social, etc. using creativity to circumvent capture limitations surrounding client confidentiality.
  • Maintain an organized asset library of all MusiCares content.
  • Source photos and b-roll to serve as a dynamic alternative to stock imagery and video.
  • Utilize project management platform to track and catalog content through its various stages of production and execution.
  • Collaborate on year-round campaign strategy and create original content that amplifies designated themes and serves as evergreen mission-based media for future use.
  • Produce and maintain relevant, impactful sizzle reels for promotional and internal use.
  • Identify professional development trainings and opportunities to ensure skillsets grow and adapt alongside evolving tools, resources, relevant functionalities, cultural and creative landscapes, and digital user experience. Partner on visual elements of MusiCares mission-based creative and editorials that strategically support initiatives and follow brand best practices.
  • Develop and follow brand best practices for cohesive, visual mission-based creative to be used across social, editorial, web, and PR efforts.
  • Capture content for partnership activations to provide optimal digital partnership fulfillment.
  • Develop and execute onsite content capture strategies for large MusiCares fundraising events and initiatives such as Person of the Year.
  • Proactively engage with incoming campaign requests through conceptualization for cross-departmental initiatives and promotional needs.
  • Support the Senior Social Media Manager in collaborating with external creative agencies across high visibility campaigns, guiding content strategy and ideation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience as a content creator from conception to final edit with a portfolio to support your work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard photography and video hardware (cameras, lighting, audio capture devices, etc.) and software (particularly Avid, FCP, Canva, InDesign, and the Adobe Creative Cloud applications of: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of producing/editing video for social and multi-media use, including organizing and importing raw media, editing footage and sound files, titling, and adding music/voice-over/SFX.
  • Hands-on production experience through the entire pre-to-post production process.
  • Knowledge of Mac Applications, Microsoft 365 Suite applications (Outlook Word, Excel, Teams), digital video cameras, camera rigs, lighting equipment, stands, flags, green screen, backdrops, sets, props, audio recording equipment, etc.
  • A passion for MusiCares’ mission and desire for a career in service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability manage multiple projects proactively while meeting deadlines.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent decision-making skills with the ability to maintain composed and welcoming in high-stress, complex situations.
  • Must be flexible, open-minded, and accountable with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Willingness and availability to travel as needed.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The starting salary for this position is $64,400 to $70,850 per year, benchmarked against industry standards. Salaries for positions required to be in specific geographic locations reflect the corresponding labor market.

The actual offer extended will depend on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and the role's requirements and will include our comprehensive benefits package (with medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k match, generous paid time off, and more).
