As a Story-Based Intellectual Property Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative backbone of AREA15’s Storyverse. This is a multifaceted role that involves crafting and managing the story bible for our expansive universe of characters. Your work will be instrumental in the design of immersive attractions, restaurant themes, live entertainment shows, video content, comic books, and merchandise products and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Story Bible Development: Create and manage the Storyverse's story bible, which serves as the comprehensive guide for all characters, settings, plotlines, and historical context.
  • Narrative Storylines: Craft compelling narrative storylines that align with the vision of AREA15. These storylines will serve as the foundation for all related experiences, content, and products.
  • Story Strategy: Present and communicate the overarching story strategy to internal teams, collaborators, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and brand identity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with content producers, creative teams, and designers to bring the narrative vision to life across various mediums. Work closely with each department to ensure consistency and quality in storytelling.
  • Content Development: Assist in the creation and development of narrative video content, comic books, and merchandise products based on the Storyverse. Provide creative input and guidance throughout these processes.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the integrity of the story bible and ensure that all creative works stay true to the established narrative, characters, and themes.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Open availability with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with varying levels of sound, crowds, and smoke/haze.
  • 8+ Creative Writing for story based IP, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience in storytelling, scriptwriting, or narrative design, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and pitch story strategies.
  • A deep passion for storytelling, creativity, and an understanding of the importance of intellectual property management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
