CBS Sacramento is looking for a dynamic, experienced Reporter/Anchor to deliver engaging, impactful content across platforms. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong on-air performance, excellent writing skills, and the ability to connect with viewers both in the field and at the anchor desk. This role requires an energetic journalist who can enterprise original reporting, present it with authority on-air, and contribute to team coverage of breaking news and developing stories.
The Reporter/Anchor will write and deliver content for newscasts, shoot and edit vosots and packages, engage in live field reporting, and produce compelling digital content. Candidates must be strong storytellers, effective collaborators, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Anchor and report live and on tape, scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy and confidence
• Collaborate effectively with producers, photographers, and other journalists to create compelling content
• Shoot, write and edit vosots and packages
• Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy, fairness, and journalistic integrity
• Write clearly and creatively, using video, sound, and graphics to enhance storytelling
• Develop sources, enterprise original stories, and engage with communities across Northern California
• At least four years of on-air reporting experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong social media presence and understanding of how to leverage digital platforms
• Editing skills using Grass Valley/Edius and/or Adobe Premiere
• Familiarity with Sony camera gear and field production
• College degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 125,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
