Job Description
As a part of our screening team, you will use your critical eye and film knowledge to evaluate a variety of film submissions, helping our programmers make critical decisions when putting together the 2026 Austin Film Festival film slate.
What we are looking for:
- A critical eye
- Dedication to the screening process (Minimum 10 hours of films watched)
- Strong communication
- The ability to write clear and concise notes
This is a volunteer position, but we do offer the following incentives based on screening hours:
- 10 hours – Film Pass
- 20 hours – Lone Star Badge
- 30 hours – Weekend Badge
- 45 hours – Conference Badge
- 65 hours – Producers Badge
