AFF Screener

As a part of our screening team, you will use your critical eye and film knowledge to evaluate a variety of film submissions, helping our programmers make critical decisions when putting together the 2026 Austin Film Festival film slate.

What we are looking for:

• A critical eye
• Dedication to the screening process (Minimum 10 hours of films watched)
• Strong communication
• The ability to write clear and concise notes

This is a volunteer position, but we do offer the following incentives based on screening hours:

• 10 hours – Film Pass
• 20 hours – Lone Star Badge
• 30 hours – Weekend Badge
• 45 hours – Conference Badge
• 65 hours – Producers Badge
