This is a project based internship. Preference will be given to students or recent graduates. Opportunity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate educational commitments. This is a remote based, contract opportunity. The successful candidate will utilize their own equipment and / or tools to complete this project. Hourly rate: $20.00

Project 1 - 2D Character Animation

ChurnZero is looking for a project-based 2D Animation Intern to bring our ChurnMonster characters to life. You�ll take 20 existing front-view PNG cartoon characters and create a set of polished, repeatable animation loops that our marketing team can reuse across content. Candidates can use AI tools to help create their animations (veed.io / deevid.ai)

Deliverables (per character):

• Walking / Running loop

• Turning loop (to left and right)

• Idle loop

• Wave loop

• Jump loop

• Blink + simple expression/idle variation (smile/frown)

What we�re looking for:

• Experience animating cartoon-style characters with strong timing and personality

• Ability to prep PNG artwork for animation (layer separation, puppet/bone rigging, etc.)

• Proficiency in tools such as After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Spine 2D, or Moho

• Ability to deliver final exports + fully editable source files (organized and reusable)

This internship is complete when the full character set is delivered, with the potential to extend into additional animation work once storyboards and new concepts are available.Project scope and timelines may be adjusted based on candidate skill set and availability.

Project 2 - 3D Character Animation

ChurnZero is seeking a project-based 3D Animation Intern to create simple, cartoon-style 3D versions of our ChurnMonster characters. Starting from 20 existing front-view PNG designs, you�ll model, rig, and animate a set of reusable loops that can support future storytelling and marketing needs.Candidates can use AI tools to help create their animations (veed.io / deevid.ai)

Deliverables (per character):

3D renderings of characters that we can have

• Walking / Running

• Turning loop left and right)

• Idle

• Wave

• Jump

• Blink + simple expression/idle variation (smile/frown)

What we�re looking for:

• Ability to interpret 2D cartoon characters into simplified, consistent 3D models

• Basic rigging + animation skills (clean loops, consistent style)

• Proficiency in Blender or similar 3D tools

• Ability to deliver final exports + fully editable project/source files (organized and reusable)

This internship ends once the full animated character set is complete, with the opportunity for continued work as we develop full storyboards and additional animated content. Project scope and timelines may be adjusted based on candidate skill set and availability.
