Job Overview
The Chief Media Officer develops and executes high-impact, creative media strategies and deliverables across all digital channels. Reporting to practice leadership and collaborating closely with the Medical Director and Chief Practice Director, the CMO leads social and community management, content production and publishing, patient-facing communications coordination with the team, and initiatives that promote exceptional patient experience. The CMO ensures all content is on-brand, polished, compliant, and aligned with strategic business and clinical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Community & Reputation Management
- Oversee and protect the practice’s online presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Yelp, RealSelf, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Monitor, triage, and respond to comments, reviews, and direct messages with empathy, professionalism, and a consistent brand voice and tone.
- Escalate urgent or sensitive patient issues to the team promptly and document follow-up actions.
- Proactively identify reputation risks and opportunities; recommend and implement mitigation or amplification strategies.
Content Creation & Social Media
- Plan, capture, and coordinate daily marketing content: photography, short- and long-form video, patient interviews, training highlights, and behind-the-scenes features.
- Edit and produce photo and video assets to broadcast-quality standards using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and complementary tools.
- Craft persuasive, SEO- and platform-optimized copy for social posts, website pages, emails, and campaign assets to drive engagement and conversions.
- Manage day-to-day content publishing across channels (including Instagram Stories and short-form video) and execute publishing calendars under managerial direction.
- Maintain rigorous brand standards: visual style, messaging consistency, accessibility, and platform-specific best practices.
- Build and maintain templated before-and-after patient asset libraries and ensure proper labeling, storage, and internal access protocols.
Analytics, Coordination & Administration
- Define, track, and report monthly performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversion, sentiment) and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate asset workflows among internal teams and external vendors; manage approvals, file organization, and rights usage.
- Support planning and execution of quarterly and annual events, promotional campaigns, and patient education initiatives with the Chief Practice Director.
- Operate photography and lighting equipment to document procedures and patient progress, strictly following privacy, consent, and clinical safety protocols.
Special Projects (Medical Director-Assigned)
- Serve as primary lead for strategic, time-bound special projects assigned by the Medical Director (e.g., clinical research communications, new service launches, multi-channel educational campaigns, physician thought-leadership programs, accreditation or compliance communications, educational presentations).
- Translate clinical goals and research findings into clear, patient- and consumer-facing content while preserving scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Assemble and manage multidisciplinary project teams (clinical staff, Front Desk, vendors, legal/compliance) and produce project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Deliver Medical Director briefings and post-project reports that evaluate outcomes against objectives and recommend next steps or scale-up approaches.
- Prioritize special projects, ensuring timely and efficient preparation.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven experience in social media strategy, digital content production, and community management within healthcare or consumer-facing professional services.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), video production workflows, and content management/publishing platforms.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and editorial judgment; familiarity with SEO and digital analytics tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work sensitively with patients and clinical teams.
- Organized project manager with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality work on deadline.
- Commitment to patient privacy, consent, and compliance with healthcare communications standards.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum 5 years managing social media and digital content; portfolio demonstrating strategic and creative work.
- Copywriting: Proven ability to craft on-brand copy across platforms.
- Technical: Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office. Quick to learn specialty practice software, including EHR/health record systems.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to engage professionally with patients, staff, and leadership.
- Leadership & Organization: Ability to lead projects, manage deadlines, coordinate teams, and maintain organized workflows.
- Analytical & Decision-Making: Comfortable using data to inform content strategy and make sound judgments consistent with practice policies.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, accountable, customer-focused, friendly, energetic, neat, and professional.
Pay: $110,000.00 per year
