About Ingenuity Studios


At Ingenuity Studios, we work in a fast-paced visual effects production environment. As Compositing Pipeline TD, you will be part of the team that is directly responsible for developing the studio's pipeline, maintaining software tools, supporting artist workflows, troubleshooting development issues, and collaborating with other departments.


You will be handling the update to our review system that involves Compositing, Production, and Supervisor workflows. Focus of the system is largely RV integration, sequence review, and shot comparisons, with additional work on Compositing-specific tooling within Nuke.


This position is considered mid to senior level, with room for growth and development as the role expands. All qualified candidates are required to take and pass our Programming Test as well as answer a variety of programming-related questions during the interview process.


Responsibilities:

  • Work on highly complex software and tools, requiring thorough understanding of the overall pipeline.
  • Collaborate with studio departments to develop, maintain, and improve pipeline tools.
  • Enable artists to work faster and more efficiently by removing barriers and reducing repetitive tasks.
  • Provide support to production, be proactive about solving problems, debug and resolve complex issues of a technical nature, and update documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of studio software and systems, keep up to date with evolving industry standards.


Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • A background in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong technical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Familiar with the visual effects production environment for film, commercials, music videos or television
  • Experience in supervising, reviewing, and managing shots
  • Strong working knowledge of the following programs and their APIs: Nuke, Shotgrid/Flow, RV
  • Proficiency in Python 2.x/3.x, PyQt, PySide, C++, Visual Studio


This position is open to candidates located in the United States and Canada and is eligible for in-person, hybrid, and remote work.


The pay range for this role is:

70,000 - 100,000 USD per year(Los Angeles)
