Job Description
Job Title: Development & Production Intern – Independent Thriller Slate
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid/West Hollywood Area)
Compensation: Unpaid/Credit available
About Us:
We are a disruptive, mission-driven independent production company based in Hollywood. We specialize in high-concept, elevated thrillers and psychological dramas. More importantly, we are the first-ever production entity to bake a proprietary mental health social impact model directly into our operational infrastructure. We believe that stories exploring the darkness of the human mind should actively fund the light.
With a slate backed by industry veterans and a focus on revolutionary business models, we are looking for a hungry, creatively sharp intern to join us during a high-growth phase.
The Role:
This isn’t an "office drone" internship. You will be working directly with the CEO & Founder and getting a front-row seat to the business of independent film.
What you’ll be doing:
• Development: Reading scripts, providing detailed coverage, and identifying IP with series or feature potential.
• Research: Diving deep into the "thriller" landscape to identify market trends and technical innovations in storytelling.
• Production Support: Assisting with pitch decks, project packaging, and the administrative backbone of a fast-moving indie house.
• Impact Integration: Helping us brainstorm how our mental health mission can be woven into our marketing and community outreach.
Who You Are:
• The Elevated Edgy Artist: You have a sophisticated, dark creative eye and a deep love for high-concept thrillers that push boundaries.
• High IQ + High EQ: You understand the mechanics of a good script but also care about the social impact of the stories we tell.
• Self-Starter: You are currently pursuing a degree in Film, Screenwriting, or Business (MBA candidates welcome) and want to see how a production company is built from the ground up.
• LA-Based: Ability to meet for occasional in-person strategy sessions in the West Hollywood/Hollywood area. This internship will be mainly remote with occasional in-person opportunities.
Why Apply?
If you want to work at a legacy studio where you’re a number, this isn’t for you. If you want to help build the future of "Social Impact Cinema" and learn how to package and develop live-action projects for the global market, we want to meet you.
To Apply:
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter on the best thriller you’ve seen in the last two years and why it worked.
