JOB TITLE: Digital Asset Coordinator (Part-time Temporary)
DEPARTMENT: Marketing - Cubs Productions
ORGANIZATION: Chicago Cubs
REPORTS TO: Manager, Video Production
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
COMPENSATION: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour USD

OUR STORY The Chicago Cubs franchise, a charter member of Major League Baseball’s National League since 1876, has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916 and is the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. In 2009, the Ricketts family assumed ownership of the Chicago Cubs and established three main goals for the organization: Win the World Series, Preserve and Improve Wrigley Field, and Be a Good Neighbor.
How You’ll Contribute The Digital Asset Coordinator is responsible for ingesting, organizing and maintaining video assets for Cubs Productions, as well as supporting various post-production roles, including but not limited to assistant editing, footage requests and general project support.

How You’ll Contribute The Digital Asset Coordinator is responsible for ingesting, organizing and maintaining video assets for Cubs Productions, as well as supporting various post-production roles, including but not limited to assistant editing, footage requests and general project support.
The Day-to-day
- Ingest, log, tag and organize footage from multiple shoots and projects, utilizing asset management systems.
- Working with A/V Production Engineer, maintain 100% up time on production SAN and media asset management system.
- Assist editors by locating clips and importing into projects.
- Fulfill footage requests.
- Attend all home games and events which may include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience managing video assets in a professional environment.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.
- Intermediate knowledge of post-production workflows, including technical knowledge of codecs, file formats, export settings and finishing techniques (audio mixing, color correction, export settings, etc.).
- Previous experience working with a media asset management system.
- Experience with CatDV.
- Experience with Telestream and Quantum products.
- In depth knowledge of the game of baseball (how to score, players, history of Cubs)
