Job Description
About CriticBridge
CriticBridge connects independent filmmakers with vetted professional film critics. Filmmakers list their films, and critics choose the ones they want to review and publish on their own outlets. We pay critics directly, and the pay is the same no matter what they write.
What you'll do
- Browse films from independent filmmakers and claim the ones that interest you
- Watch the screener and write an honest, independent review
- Publish the review on your approved outlet and submit the link by the deadline
Pay
- $35 to $85 per review
- Your pay tier depends on where you can publish your reviews. Established outlets qualify for higher tiers, and Letterboxd and personal blogs start at Tier 1.
- Weekly payouts every Monday through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, with an express option
- Optional paid work like interviews, podcasts, and video essays
What we're looking for
- A track record of published film criticism / coverage on films
- An outlet you own or can publish on: a website, publication, blog, or a Letterboxd account with 500+ followers
- Reliable with deadlines and careful with facts
- A commitment to honest, independent reviews
Why critics join
- You're never assigned a film. You choose what you review.
- Your pay never depends on your verdict.
- Fully remote, on your own schedule.
