Job Description
Company Description
First Artists Management (FAM), founded in 2003, is a prominent talent agency specializing in the representation of composers, music supervisors, and music editors for film, television, and video games. With offices in Los Angeles and London, FAM has built a reputation as a trusted and passionate advocate for music professionals. As an independent, family-operated business, FAM is driven by a deep commitment to fostering creative talent in the industry.
Role Description
- We are seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to oversee the financial and administrative infrastructure of our agency. This is a senior, highly autonomous role responsible for managing invoicing and collections on behalf of multiple clients, administering payroll, and handling all internal financial operations of the company.
- The ideal candidate has substantial experience with client billing and accounts receivable, including persistent collections and revenue tracking across numerous projects and partners. You will liaise directly with our third-party accountant on bookkeeping, tax coordination, and financial reporting, ensuring our books are accurate and up to date at all times.
- In addition, this role requires hands-on experience in music publishing administration — including registering works, monitoring royalty statements, tracking income streams, and collecting revenue from co-publishers, PROs, and other publishing partners. A strong understanding of how publishing income flows and how to proactively follow up on outstanding royalties is essential.
- This is a high-trust leadership position for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing the full financial ecosystem of a boutique agency. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a small-business environment, takes ownership, and ensures that nothing slips through the cracks.
- If you have real-world experience in finance, office management, and publishing administration — and are ready to take full responsibility for the financial operations of a respected boutique firm — we’d love to connect.
Qualifications & Role Requirements

- Handle invoicing, collection, and payment remittance for multiple clients
- Fluency in QuickBooks and/or Xero

- Run payroll, including benefits administration, PTO tracking, and compliance for employees
- Manage vendor relationships and office operations
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients on all financial matters
- Keep our administrative systems organized and efficient
Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in royalty administration or finance at major music publishers or rights organizations — such as Sony ATV, Warner Chappell, Universal Music Publishing, Kobalt, BMG, ASCAP, BMI, or similar companies — and are now looking to step into a broader, more autonomous leadership role within a boutique firm.
