Job Description
An emerging high-level digital-forward production company is seeking a sharp, fast, comedy-minded social editor to help cut short-form video content for digital / social platforms in a freelance role, with the potential to transition into a more ongoing position.
The ideal candidate is driven, social-native, and has a strong sense of comedic timing; someone who understands pacing, rhythm, hooks, captions, and how to make something feel immediately engaging on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form platforms.
This person should be able to take strong first cuts and elevate them quickly, with an eye toward making posts feel tighter, funnier, and more dynamic to drive engagement.
Ideal experience:
- 1–3 years out of college or equivalent experience
- Has edited a lot of short-form / social content
- Strong comedy instincts and sense of timing
- Comfortable working quickly and turning around posts on a tight timeline
- Familiar with TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts pacing and formatting
- Able to work freelance to start, with potential for a more ongoing role if it’s the right fit
