Summary:


Are you ready to be the pivotal point of contact between the media, TV broadcasts, and our organization's public image? As our Part-time, Game Night Communications Assistant, you'll ensure the smooth flow of information and enhance our brand visibility. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from managing credentials to facilitating pre/postgame press conferences. If you have a passion for sports, strong organizational skills, and a knack for delivering information effectively, we want you on our team.


Responsibilities:


  • Organize and conduct pre-game preparations, including credentialing, media seating, and media work rooms.
  • Hand out credentials at media/security entrance and serve as point of contact for media and TV broadcasts.
  • Monitor media materials and distribute in-game and postgame statistics to media members.
  • Support and assist with the various types of ways the department distributes information, including game notes, press releases, and press conferences.
  • Pre/postgame press conference mic runner.
  • Help keep storage areas, supplies, photo vests and media room organized.
  • Serve as point of contact for visiting team, handling any potential PR needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study (Journalism, Communications, Public/Media Relations, Sports Management or English)
  • Ability to communicate with various media personalities
  • Ability to coordinate and handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with an ability to exercise superior judgment under pressure situations
  • Must demonstrate maturity to work with confidential information in a professional manner
  • Must be available to work all home games, with availability beginning as early as 2:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours (including nights, weekends and holidays)
