Role: Head of Content – Micro Dramas
About Us:
Brew is building a next‑gen content distribution platform for filmmakers. Our best-in-class VOD marketplace empowers filmmakers, studios, and producers to monetize their work directly while reaching engaged global audiences.
We’re looking for a visionary, execution‑driven Head of Content to build and scale our Micro Dramas (Vertical, short form (<1 min) episodic content) slate end‑to‑end. This leader will own the strategy and pipeline for short-form premium series: driving original production, partnering with studios for acquisitions/co‑productions, and collaborating with our central team to localize themes and formats that resonate by market.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the Micro Dramas content strategy, editorial POV, and multi‑market slate planning across originals, co‑pros, and licensed titles.
- Partner with studios, producers, creators, and agencies to source, evaluate, and acquire micro drama IP; negotiate and structure deals across licensing, co‑pro, and first‑look frameworks.
- Lead development: run ideation sprints with the central team to generate locally resonant concepts, formats, and seasonal arcs; commission pilots and proof‑of‑concepts.
- Stand up and manage production operations: build calendars, budgets, crew/vendor rosters, and scalable workflows for high‑velocity short‑form production.
- Oversee end‑to‑end production from greenlight to delivery: scripting, casting, scheduling, post, QC, localization, and asset delivery to platform specs.
- Establish and enforce creative and technical standards for micro dramas (episode length, narrative structure, pacing, aspect ratios, captioning, accessibility, safety).
- Drive audience‑led decisioning: use insights, performance data, and testing to refine concepts, optimize runtimes, and inform renewal/cancellation.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in scripted content development/ production at a studio, or premium digital platform; preferably in short format, vertical micro drama series.
- Proven track record launching multi‑title slates end‑to‑end: development through post and delivery at scale.
- Strong network among studios, indie producers, showrunners, and creator communities; adept at sourcing emerging talent and IP.
- Demonstrated success negotiating acquisition, co‑production, and talent deals; fluency in rights, windows, clearances, and short‑form economics.
- Builder’s mindset suited to an early‑stage, high‑growth environment; disciplined, resourceful, and outcome‑oriented.
