The Corporate and Brand Communications intern will play a key role in the development, implementation, and execution of externally-facing business communications as well as internal engagement initiatives across the organization. The intern will assist with business and executive media relations, internal communications, event coordination, and public affairs. This position is based in Santa Monica.

Responsibilities
- Monitor news outlets, social media, and other relevant platforms to stay informed about industry trends, company focused stories and mentions, and related news
- Contribute to the development of internal and external materials, such as newsletters, press breaks, and other business-related updates
- Assist with planning virtual and onsite corporate events including screenings, fireside chats, employee engagements, and political efforts. Provide creative input for themes, decor, and overall event experience
- Handle logistics and follow-up activities for corporate activations, such as invites, guest lists, registration, outreach, and promotional materials
- Assist with executive efforts including researching event panels and speaking opportunities, preparing talking points and informational briefs and on-site coordination
- Support the government affairs team in their interactions with lawmakers, agencies, and third-party groups
- Partner on ad hoc projects as they arise
- Pursuing degree in communications, journalism or related field
- Strong written, verbal and social communications skills
- Multitasker who enjoys a fast-paced environment and able to be resourceful
- Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to present ideas and information in an impactful and understandable way
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team as well as independently, manage time, organize and accurately prioritize work across multiple projects
- Be detail-oriented, work within deadlines and understand when urgency is required
- Strong understanding of the intersection between government and entertainment
- Proficiency with Google Docs Editors Suite, AirTable, Box, and Microsoft applications (Planner, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Preferred experience with design applications/platforms (e.g., Canva)

Details
- Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
- Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
- Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
- Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
- All internships are paid
