Role Description

The Media Management Intern is a part time, hybrid on-site internship role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This is an unpaid role and requires 1 office day a week (Fridays) and virtual meetings as needed. The role is for 9 months and requires 10-15 hours. We provide hands-on training for interns. The intern will support day-to-day media and communication activities, assisting with public relations outreach, and coordinating with media outlets and influencers.


Responsibilities include planning and scheduling social media content, monitoring engagement, and helping develop campaigns that align with the brand's story and mission. The intern will also assist in basic video production tasks such as brainstorming concepts, helping with shoots, and supporting post-production needs for digital channels. Additional tasks may include organizing media assets, tracking coverage, and preparing reports to help guide brand communication strategies.


Qualifications

• Strong foundation in media communications and public relations, with the ability to support brand messaging across multiple channels.

• Ability to develop strategic monthly social media content and campaign plans

• Proficient in Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other social media platforms and understanding of evolving social media algorithms, trends, and best practices.

• Familiarity with social media marketing, including content creation, video editing, scheduling, and performance tracking on major platforms.

• Proficiency in CapCut for video editing (or an application equivalent)

• Proficient in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Shopify, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics, with experience supporting audience growth, campaign optimization, performance tracking, and online sales initiatives

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

• Familiarity with website design and/or graphic design (Figma, Canva, Photoshop, etc)

• Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

• Interest in fashion, jewelry, and purpose-driven brands, with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a small, creative team.

• Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; social media management tools are a plus).
