Job Description
JoinJam is hiring a part-time Community Operator (Discord / Reddit / music networks).
We already have the seeding playbook and a UGC operator. We need someone who lives in producer/songwriter Discords and Reddit, executes help-first outreach, and shepherds real musicians from install → first unfinished Collab post → jam along.
About JoinJam
JoinJam helps musicians finish songs together. Music Feed is where unfinished clips live; people jam along, meet in Jam Room, record in Studio, and can publish to Radio. We keep 0% ownership of your music.
The job
• Lurk and help in high-intent music Discords + subreddits (bedroom producers, vocalists/songwriters, open-verse / beats)
• Warm DM and shepherd musicians: install → first Collab post → first jam along
• Activate waitlist creators and support our Launch Song Contest push inside communities (not spam)
• Weekly readout: contacts, posts, pairs — what made people post vs ghost
• Hand warm UGC candidates to our existing creator-seeding operator — do not rebuild that lane
You are
• Music-fluent; already spend real time in Discord + Reddit music scenes
• Hands-on: you will personally DM and onboard people
• Obsessed with activation (posts / pairs), allergic to follower vanity
• Comfortable with a short paid pilot and milestone pay
You are not
• Looking for a fractional CMO / audit / roadmap rewrite
• A generic social media manager who only posts brand content
• Someone who outsources “community” on day one
Details
• Contract / fractional · Remote · US-overlapping hours preferred
• ~10–15 hrs/week
• Milestone pilot ~$1,000–$1,500 over 3 weeks; ~$1,600–$2,300/mo if renewed at 15 hrs/wk
• Brand rule: real humans, not AI music
