About the Role
Our client is a leading digital media company based in Los Angeles, looking to hire a driven, media-savvy sales professional to grow their content syndication and licensing business. You'll identify distribution partners, pitch licensing deals, and manage relationships with publishers, digital platforms, and broadcast partners who want to carry their content.
This is a role for someone who knows the media landscape, loves the deal-making side, and wants real ownership of a commercial function
What You'll Do
Sales & Business Development
- Build and manage a pipeline of content syndication and licensing opportunities across publishers, streaming platforms, broadcasters, aggregators, and enterprise media clients
- Pitch and close licensing deals across a range of commercial structures: flat fee, revenue share, CPM-based, and barter arrangements
- Support contract negotiation in coordination with legal; ensure deal terms are clearly documented and executed
Account Management
- Own day-to-day relationships with an existing portfolio of syndication partners
- Drive renewals and identify upsell opportunities within the existing account base
- Be the primary point of contact for partners, responsive, proactive, and solutions-oriented
Coordination & Reporting
- Work cross-functionally with editorial, product, and marketing to package content for different partner needs
- Maintain pipeline and account data in CRM; report on deal activity and revenue performance
- Track industry trends in content licensing and flag competitive moves
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- 3–5 years in media sales, content partnerships, syndication, digital distribution, or a related commercial role
- Solid understanding of how content licensing works, rights, deal structures, distribution windows
- Comfortable pitching and presenting to mid-to-senior level buyers
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deals and relationships simultaneously
- Strong written communication, able to write a sharp pitch and a clear deal summary
