Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Social Media & Marketing is responsible for leading strategy and driving the day-to-day operations of all owned & operated social media accounts for Mythical Entertainment, including (but not limited to) @mythical and @mythicalkitchen across social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. They work closely with, and report to, the Sr. Director, Social Media & Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the ongoing social strategy and promotional plans that drives audience growth and discovery for all Mythical Entertainment properties on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok (and more) in partnership with Sr. Director of Social Media and Marketing
- Manage the Social Media Content Creator to ensure effective performance in their role, including communicating goals, platform strategies, shifts in priorities, requirements, and setting weekly schedules that will aid them in hitting assigned monthly goals
- Develop content & trend-based strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, and discovery
- Review & provide feedback to the Social Media Content Creator for all content intended to be posted to social media, ensuring it supports strategic initiatives
- Watch daily content to post compelling moments/content to various social media platforms
- Work closely with the Content Management & Post Production teams to locate and deliver media files as required
- Work cross-departmentally to ensure all internal social media needs & requests are met
- Post content to all active social media platforms
- Engage with fans and popular accounts to foster the growth and affinity of the fan community
- Track, analyze, and draft regular reporting to update key stakeholders on department performance
- Provide performance-based insights and proactive recommendations to key stakeholders to optimize future content and marketing initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of competitor strategies, industry trends, emerging memes, and new
- product features to ensure Mythical stays on the forefront of digital trends and continues to evolve
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Social, Production, eCommerce, Mythical Society teams (and more) to develop innovative social creative
- Oversee the development and growth of the Mythical Monthly, our monthly newsletter
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Social Media & Marketing to support all marketing &
- promotional initiatives across Mythical Entertainment
- Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-3 Years experience of social media management
- Thorough understanding of all major social media platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Google Suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, Forms, and Calendar), as well as being overall tech savvy.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Premiere, especially) a plus
