Job Description

Tideturners is looking for a Social Media Content Creator Intern — Mentorship Production Cycle

Tideturners is a creative-led game studio building original titles while partnering with developers through co-development, platform porting, and mentorship-driven production.

This role is specifically for video game content. Not general social media, not brand marketing, video game content. We need someone who understands how gaming audiences consume content and can create the kinds of trailers, information shorts, and fun shorts that actually work for that space.

We are seeking a Social Media & Content Intern to help build out content across Steam, YouTube, and social platforms for multiple shipping titles simultaneously. This is a cross-project role spanning roughly three active titles at once, giving you direct exposure to how content strategy adapts across different games, genres, and audiences rather than being confined to a single project.

Before applying, please look at the examples below so you understand exactly what we mean:

Notice the style: internet humor, trending sound effects and audio, popular GIFs, pop-up text, and quick turnaround editing. That is the tone and pacing we are looking for. If your portfolio does not reflect anything close to this style, this may not be the right fit, and we would rather you know that upfront than find out after applying.

What this role covers:

  • Creating and editing video content, including trailers, gameplay clips, and short-form social content in the style shown above
  • Recording gameplay and capturing footage suitable for editing and repurposing across platforms
  • Designing supporting graphics such as thumbnails, patch note visuals, and announcement posts
  • Developing a working understanding of posting cadence and timing across Steam, YouTube, and social platforms
  • Collaborating directly with each project's creative direction to ensure content matches that title's voice and identity
  • Identifying opportunities to apply what works on one project to the others

What we are looking for:

  • A portfolio or examples that show gaming-specific content, not general social media or brand work
  • Working knowledge of video editing software and the ability to record, edit, and export clean video content
  • Comfort managing multiple projects and shifting context between them
  • Interest in learning how release cadence and content timing work in practice, not just how content looks
  • Reliable communication and consistent weekly availability
  • Graduates of a university or relevant program (we do not accept currently enrolled students)

What this is:

  • A 3-4 month part time mentorship production cycle
  • Placement across multiple real, currently shipping commercial titles, not simulated projects
  • A shipped-title credit and your name in the credits on the titles you work on
  • Direct mentorship and review throughout the cycle

This is an unpaid mentorship engagement built for someone who wants real production experience across multiple live titles and a genuine shipped credit to show for it.

If this sounds like you and your portfolio reflects the style shown above, reach out or send a portfolio to biz@thetideturners.com.
