Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documents according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures and prepare respective financial reports, including reconciliations of various G/L accounts
- Responsible for appropriate month-end and quarter-end accruals
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for Corporate and Production accounts
- Assist with processing accounts payable bills and preparing accounts receivable invoices
- Recommend improvements to current accounting processes to enhance and streamline department workflows
- Prepare documentation and supporting information for financial audits and tax compliance
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of accounting experience, in entertainment industry preferred
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong proficiency with Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with superior attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats
- Must be flexible and willing to take on any additional tasks as needed
- Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new things
