Job Description
As a Big Loud/Big Loud Rock Summer Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work with amazing teams in areas like Social Media, Marketing, Creative, Research & Insights, Streaming & Radio Promotion and more. You'll be embedded on one of these teams and get hands-on experience.
You'll get to collaborate with your intern colleagues on an end-of-semester project that will help build your resume and portfolio. You'll learn from the best in the business and build friendships and professional connections that will last a lifetime.
We have three in-person internship locations this summer:
- Big Loud Records in Nashville, TN
- Big Loud Rock in Santa Monica, California
- Big Loud Texas in Austin, Texas
Our internships are in-person Monday through Thursdays, up to 25 hours per week. The Internship session will run from June 2nd-August 14th, 2025.
This summer's internships include:
- Social Media: Strategy & Execution: including posting content to socials, coming up with creative strategies, advertising and/or short-form social media video editing/design, creating content.
- Streaming & Radio Promotion: Day-to-day reporting and analysis, event support, administrative radio promotion duties.
- Marketing: Project Management including the support of marketing plans and timelines, Assist with street marketing initiatives, day-of event support and planning, collate promotional materials and marketing packages, contribute ideas and assist with creative marketing activations, data reporting and more. For our smaller label imprints, this may include some light A&R duties.
- Research & Analytics: Informing our marketing strategies with insights from research, data analysis, reporting and more.
- Sync Licensing & Brand Partnerships: Learning about to day-to-day sync operations through Publishing Administration, Metadata and data management, research and ideation.
- Creative/Video Editing: Edit short-form and long-form video content for album and single releases, social media and more. Must submit portfolio.
Other Responsibilities: (specific responsibilities are based on which department you are in)
- Own a set of department-specific projects and tasks and deliver them on time
- Attend day-to-day meetings and support the team with entry-level work
- Compile reports for team, which can include a variety of metrics, pulling data and compiling data into a presentable format
- Support the team with administrative tasks such as filling in detailed spreadsheets, filing, scheduling meetings and other items as needed, helping with office tasks related to department needs, making copies, presentations, packing promotional packages and more.
- Manage and maintain spreadsheets, databases, etc.
- Other marketing related tasks like creating graphics and content, managing social media accounts, digital advertising and short-form video editing
- Support Big Loud/Big Loud Rock at industry events, award shows, press events, marketing events, photo and video shoots, etc. (depending on department)
- Collaborate with internal teams and your intern peers on your final project
- Come up with creative ideas and solutions to help support the team
- Be a sponge and learn as much as you can
About you:
- A rising Junior, Senior, Graduate Student or Recent college graduate with a passion for music, pop culture, and entertainment
- Willingness to work up to 20 hours per week, on-site in one of our offices
- Deep interest and passion for the music business
