About Almost Friday Media
Almost Friday Media is a growing digital media network, production company, and lifestyle brand. Created in November 2019, our network reaches over 35 million people and generates hundreds of millions of impressions weekly. We develop original IP across social media, podcasts, YouTube, television, and film, and act as a creative agency and production company for major brand partners.
The Role
We are looking for a VP to lead and coordinate the vision across the entire Friday Beers ecosystem and push the brand into its next phase of growth.
Friday Beers is our most powerful social channel. The VP will own and lead creative strategy across all Friday Beers channels and affiliated accounts (Almost Friday, Friday Beers Frat, and all college network channels). This person will oversee the creative team, set the creative vision for the brand, and drive innovation across content formats, shows, and talent development.
This role is both hands-on creatively and strategic at the brand level — shaping what Friday Beers makes next and the meaning of its content, not just how it looks.
This role reports directly to the EVP, Digital & Strategy.
What You’ll Own
Creative Leadership
Own final creative approval across all Friday Beers content and brand output

Set and evolve the overall creative direction of the Friday Beers brand

Lead and manage social media managers responsible for day-to-day channel execution
Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and visual identity across platforms
Content & Franchise Development
Develop new content formats built for internet-native audiences

Help write and punch up jokes, scripts, and comedic concepts

Help identify, develop, and grow on-camera talent
Launch new formats, recurring series, and franchiseable content
Platform & Channel Creative
Oversee creative across:
Instagram

Emerging and new social platforms

Apparel creative

Branded content creative
Campaign creative
Branded Content & Revenue Collaboration
Concept branded content ideas that authentically fit the Friday Beers voice

Partner with sales to develop pitchable creative concepts for brand partners
Ensure branded content feels native, funny, and culturally relevant
Performance-Aware Creative
Understand platform metrics and performance trends

Use data signals to inform creative decisions and content direction
Partner with analytics and leadership to evolve content strategy over time
Who You Are
5–7 years of experience in creative, content, or digital media roles

Extremely deep understanding of Friday Beers the channel, its culture and jokes, characters, and its social media presence

Intimate understanding of internet culture, meme language, and platform-native humor
-
Proven ability to develop original content formats or creative campaigns
-
Experience leading creative teams or overseeing multi-channel creative output

Strong comedic instinct and writing sensibility

Able to balance creative instinct with performance data
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, highly iterative content environment
Work Environment
