NewsNation is looking for a part-time Stage Manager to direct the studio floor in a fast-paced News/Production environment.
This position will act as the primary liaison between the control room, on-air talent, and stage crew.
Responsibilities:
The Stage Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining a professional environment on the studio floor
  • The ability to read an ENPS show rundown
  • Cue talent and relay pertinent information to the studio staff
  • Manage time for all in-studio talent and guests
  • Stay aware of constant changes within the show’s broadcast
  • Lead the studio production crew at the same time keeping the on-air talent at ease
  • Determine needs of upcoming segments, identifying production elements including props and set elements in coordination with Directors and Stagehands
Qualifications: Prior control room and studio experience at broadcast networks.
Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and being able to multitask in a fast-paced environment are a must. Weekends, early mornings, evenings and holidays may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
This is a DGA position and union membership is required.
Salary Range: $56-$66/hour
