Position Title : Intern, KCON LA Marketing/Partnerships
FLSA : Non-Exempt/Part-time; up to 30 hours a week max
Location : Los Angeles, CA (on-site)
Rate: $17.87/hourly

CJ ENM also operates KCON, the largest Korean pop culture fan convention and concert series, which launched in LA as a one-day event in 2012 and has exponentially scaled over a decade to become a global event that has expanded from Los Angeles to New York and across the world to destinations like Japan, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Paris.
CJ ENM has played a key role in not only leading Korea’s culture and content in entertainment for the past 25 years, but also continues to grow the expansion of Korean entertainment globally.
Summary of Position:
CJ ENM America is currently seeking motivated and creative interns to join the Partnerships & Marketing team for Summer 2025 focused on (but not limited to) KCON LA, the world’s largest K-pop Fan and Artist Festival , with a strong desire to learn about entertainment and media, marketing, PR, partnerships, and events. Interns will be given the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the creative process - from event marketing, sponsorship sales, brand activations, and merchandising, to supporting corporate partners and launching new initiatives. The ideal candidate will be pursuing (or has recently graduated with) a degree, and is in their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year. Additionally, the candidate has experience with Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent (Canva, Figma, etc.), creative writing, communication, and time management, along with a strong passion for K-pop and K-culture. This is a paid part time internship up to 30 hours max per week that is located in-office in Downtown LA (no hybrid or remote).

Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential sponsors/partners that align with KCON LA’s brand and audience.
- Partake in brainstorms for sponsorship, partnership, and influencer activations for KCON LA and other CJ ENM America initiatives.
- Support the team on account management as well as the overall operational processes of sponsors’ convention needs.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of potential and confirmed partners.
- Help develop marketing materials, pitch decks, and sales collateral.
- Assist with community management and marketing efforts across social, web, CRM (email and SMS), and emerging platforms.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, and X).
- Attend meetings and take thorough notes to document sponsorship/partnership deliverables.
- Develop weekly internal newsletters and trend reports in pop culture across entertainment, music, fashion, technology, marketing, partnerships, and K-pop/K-culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and execute on-site sponsor activations and branded experiences at KCON LA.
- Track and compile recap reports documenting partnership activations and ROI metrics post-event.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing and partnerships team.
- Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Fluency in Korean (reading, writing, and speaking) is not a requirement, but a plus.
