We are currently seeking an SVP - Pricing & Planning to join our Pricing & Planning team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary responsibility is to lead the Pricing & Planning team in maximizing the revenue potential and pricing yield for AMC Networks linear and digital advertising inventory with a total portfolio/cross-platform focus
- In collaboration with EVP Revenue Management, develop and implement pricing and packaging strategies for ad inventory while considering Upfront & Scatter marketplace conditions, competitive landscape and target audience demographics
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to leverage for driving yield and optimization tactics. Analyze category demand patterns to constantly flex pricing and inventory strategies in order to ensure optimal revenue generation
- Oversee the inventory management process, including but not limited to Sales estimates/rate card development, forecasting, tracking available ad inventory, liability management/stewardship and managing oversold or unfilled inventory situations
- Collaborate with Ad Sales management, Research, Commercial Operations, Digital Ad Ops, Direct Response
- Sales, Global Technology & Operations and Integrated Marketing teams to implement pricing and planning strategies that achieve revenue optimization
- Work closely with Corporate Finance team on Quarterly and Annual revenue forecasts, Monthly management of risks & opportunities, Weekly pacing reports and annual budget process
- Stay abreast of advancements in advanced advertising/addressable, data analytics and programmatic to identify and implement solutions that enhance targeted capabilities, increase ad efficacy and drive revenue growth
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in pricing & planning within the television or media industry
- Solid track record of developing and implementing pricing and packaging strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret/visualize data and make strategic recommendations
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams across the company to drive results
- In-depth knowledge of advertising supply & demand market dynamics, industry trends and competitive landscape
- Experience with inventory management systems and yield management platforms
- Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); Advanced Excel User (Macro, V-Look Ups); Visualization
- Tools (PowerBi, Tableau, SQL etc.); Salesforce; Wide Orbit, Operative One, FreeWheel, Revenue Analytics, Boostr
The base compensation range for this position is $250,000 to $350,000 commensurate with experience.
