Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Under general supervision manages TSU-TV Studio, Control Room, Engineering and audio visual production equipment for use by students, faculty and staff.
Essential Duties Summary
- Manages studio operations and access to audio visual equipment rental including supervising and training of students, faculty and staff in the proper use of television studio, control room and AV equipment.
- Oversees production and studio classes; as well as, access for studio and equipment necessary for student productions and assignments. Ensures technical quality of productions; supervises the setup, operation and calibration of equipment prior to productions.
- Oversees all audio-visual production materials, assets and equipment that are rented, leased or released to the students and faculty in accordance with University and School of Communication policy. Organizes and monitors inventory management of all audio-visual production assets assigned to the studio and control room.
- Provides accurate and consistent technical guidance for the development and day-to-day operations of the TSU Television Studio, Control Room and AV equipment to assist in the production of televised and/or other audio visual productions.
- Participates in planning, evaluation and recommendation improvements to the facility. Assesses best practices and protocols for the purchase, use and care of equipment and facilities.
- Supervises the procurement and maintenance of facilities and equipment with TSU faculty and staff; as well as, outside contractors and vendors.
- Assists in the development of operational procedures and training materials in the use of AV and media equipment and related computer technology.
- Creates and maintains studio archiving and filing system, to include equipment manuals, warranties, signal path and workflow diagrams; as well as, digitizing of legacy assets.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including teaching responsibility of not more than two classes per semester.

Work Experience
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of direct job-related experience either within a Broadcast Television or Cable TV Studio, Corporate video production facility, Commercial Production or Post-Production house; as well as, knowledge of film and video production techniques, analog and digital editing workflows and digital asset management (DAM) systems.
