Job Description
All3Media International (A3MI) is looking for a new VP Sales, North America to join its Americas Sales team.
This role is responsible for a range of Sales activities in North America ("the Territory) and will be a key executive to market A3MI finished program sales and format opportunities in the Territory, working across TV, streaming and digital platforms (VOD) and home entertainment clients.
Reporting to the EVP Americas, responsibilities will include:
- Licensing finished program/tape sales in the United States and Canada
- Responsibility for covering format sales in the Territory, liaising with the EVP Formats & Licensing as well as All3Media America, as appropriate
- Working with the EVP Americas to make significant contribution to a sales strategies including opportunistic new rights for the Territory, dovetailing with any overarching strategies put in place across the A3MI business
- Taking ownership of and implementing the agreed sales strategies, reporting on progress and any issues preventing implementation
- Promoting All3media content and companies across the Territory
- Liaising with the EVP Strategic Development and SVP Global Digital Partnerships to optimise rights positions and availabilities to support global digital licensing windows to ensure maximum exploitation of content rights across both Territory based and Global driven digital opportunities Identify sales opportunities and rights, including unsold titles, and build upon an established client base across the region
- Working with EVP Americas to inform the annual sales target and budget process for the Territory
- Meeting annual sales target
- Attending relevant trade markets, and provide market knowledge and trends in the region post market
- Conducting regular sales trips and develop close relationships with partners in the region
- Overseeing contract drafting, negotiation and execution
- Preparing accurate budgets and sales forecasts for relevant departments as requested by the EVP Americas and/or other senior managers
- Researching, reporting and delivering presentations on Territory developments and trends to inform the EVP Americas, A3MI Content team and Insight functions; and
- Adhering to best practice across sales and legal processes in all activities, supporting and information other initiatives as required.
The successful candidate must add value to a close-knit team, thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate/be the following:
- Strong track record of sales negotiations for program sales, with at least five years’ experience selling across international markets, working across TV, Digital, and Home Entertainment and platforms
- A team player, willing to contribute to the success of the team
- Ability to work across finished programming in scripted and non-scripted content across all media including digital
- Ability to pitch programming professionally to a wide spectrum of clients
- Ability to think strategically with excellent commercial acumen
- Strong and demonstrated negotiation skills
- Advanced knowledge of license agreements and rights terminology across relevant areas
- Established client network and the ability to secure and grow new business with recognized industry players
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to articulate effectively and communicate across levels within the business
- A keen interest and knowledge of the international media business landscape and trends
- A strong self-starter, highly organized, with an ability to work autonomously within an agreed strategy
- Experience and knowledge of the British content sector preferable
- Sensitivity to the cultural environments of the territories handled by this role
- Willingness to travel to markets and work flexible hours to be available to clients outside of office hours as needed; and
- A highly organised self-starter, with excellent attention to detail.

Scripted formats from All3Media International’s catalogue include LIAR, the global hit thriller commissioned in 15 territories, INFORMER, BLOOD and CHEAT as well as more light-hearted series such as QUEER AS FOLK, LAID and STEP DAVE.
