About The Role

We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and highly connected Director of Content Licensing to lead and execute licensing opportunities for our creator talent. • Develop and execute a comprehensive content licensing strategy to extend creator IP beyond YouTube
  • Lead negotiations and structure favorable deals to protect creator IP while maximizing revenue
  • Work closely with creators, their teams, and internal Night colleagues (management, legal, brand, finance) to package content appropriately for licensing
  • Analyze and optimize revenue performance across licensing deals; track and report key metrics
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with platform executives, content buyers, and syndication partners
  • Advise creators on best practices for formatting and preparing content for non-YouTube distribution (e.g., episodic cuts, compilations, extended versions)
  • Monitor market trends and identify emerging distribution opportunities for digital-first content
  • Oversee contract compliance and ensure all licensing agreements are executed smoothly

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in content licensing, distribution, or business development in digital media, entertainment, or streaming
  • Strong understanding of the AVOD and FAST ecosystem, including major players and deal structures
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing licensing or distribution deals
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law
  • Deep knowledge of digital creator content and the YouTube ecosystem
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with creative and business teams
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
  • Passion for creator-led media and emerging digital business models
