Shelter PR -- Spring 2026 Intern

At the moment, we are looking for one intern per semester.

The Spring semester runs approximately January – May.

NOTES:

This internship is paid, and we ask that candidates can commit to 14 hours per week.

Having their own vehicle is preferred.

ABOUT SHELTER PR:

Shelter PR is a boutique bi-coastal publicity firm specializing in entertainment, music, cause marketing, fashion, lifestyle, and pop culture. We offer a range of services from a strategic approach to media relations for talent, entertainment properties, brands, and charities.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

Monitoring industry and client news
Creating press coverage reports
Building and maintaining press lists
Researching and building media lists
Drafting press materials such as press releases, bios/fact sheets, and press kits
Drafting memos and schedules for clients and events
Participating in account brainstorm and team meetings
Monitoring editorial calendars
Providing general administrative support
Coordinating editorial coverage results
Executing miscellaneous projects for team members
Observing publicists pitch clients to press/media

REQUIREMENTS:

Ideal candidates are positive, energetic, trustworthy, enthusiastic, driven, resourceful, detail-oriented, proactive, and have strong communication and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in school. Juniors and seniors from four-year universities are preferred.
