Rockstar is on the lookout for a highly capable and experienced Narrative Editor to join our Video Production Department. The ideal candidate has post-production experience across multiple formats and genres. They will be a creative thinker, able to craft a compelling narrative and work with a team to execute a vision at the highest level.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.

What We Do

The Video Production Department creates all trailers and video assets released online, on social media, on broadcast TV and in cinema.

Responsibilities

Edit high-end marketing materials in both supervised and unsupervised capacities.
Initiate concepts and work within a team to develop the best assets possible.
Take responsibility for projects and self-produce/direct when necessary, or alternatively work closely with a director to realize a specific vision.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional video editing experience.
Fluency in Avid Media Composer.

Skills

Editor must be a storyteller, able to communicate emotional content and excitement.
People-skills and ability to work as part of a team are of the utmost importance.
Ability to take direction, and address notes creatively.
Experience working with fast turnarounds and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure is required.
Keen interest and knowledge of video games.

PLUSES

Narrative, documentary, trailer, and motion graphics editing experience.
Educational background in film.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

$80,000—$120,000 USD
