Senior Manager, Social Media & Digital (Contract)

Top Rank Boxing, the global leader in boxing promotion, is seeking a dynamic and experienced social media expert to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in managing and enhancing the social media presence of Top Rank, engaging with over twenty-five million followers across various platforms. The Senior Manager, Social Media & Digital will focus on long-form platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Snapchat and managing the day-to-day of toprank.com. The role offers opportunities to travel to Top Rank events worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Content Programming in day-to-day posting and content aggregation on long-form social media platforms.
• Oversee a team of two who will assist in the management of social media channels.
• Write compelling social media copy and stay updated on local and national social media trends.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of toprank.com, keeping events, articles and athlete profile up-to-date.
• Contribute to graphic design and video creation for different social channels.
• Ideate and create graphics in the form of thumbnails for various social media platforms.
• Utilize media asset management software to log and archive Top Rank content.
• Travel globally to cover Top Rank events.
• Work closely with athletes to capture content and provide social media insights.
• Collaborate with the sponsorship department to ensure timely approval, delivery, and release of sponsor deliverables.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of experience managing social media channels for a sports or entertainment organization.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, or communications.
• Understanding and passion of combat sports preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms.
• Previously web management experience preferred.
• Experience in ideating and creating engaging social media content.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel globally for events in areas like NYC, Tulsa, Tokyo, London, and Saudi Arabia - expecting 25% of time to be on road
• Ceaseless attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Premiere
