SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
A key focus of the Marketing team is to expand and accelerate the role that media and strategic partnerships play in driving overall brand awareness, consideration and ultimately transactions for Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
We are seeking a growth-minded individual who is passionate about media strategy & planning, and partnership marketing. This role will support the VP Media, Partnerships & Field Marketing on the day-to-day management of all media activation, as well as key partner relationships that span across a variety of areas, including affiliate marketing, sports & entertainment, and 3rd party delivery.
This position will work alongside our various media agency partners to help drive the strategy, planning and execution of media to achieve specific objectives. They will manage ongoing support and communication between national and local teams and will work closely with the other Marketing disciplines (Brand, Creative, Field, Menu & Digital), as well as other cross-functional departments within the organization including Operations, Technology, Analytics, and others to ensure growth of the brand.
The position will also support the activation of other partnerships as needed. Examples could include sports, entertainment, media or retail opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Media
- Support the overall media agency relationship by providing strategic direction and guidance, as well as the day-to-day management of planning, execution and optimization of paid media across all traditional and digital channels for national and regional advertising
- Work closely with internal team, key agency partners and media vendors to ensure relationships are strong, objectives are accomplished, and deliverables are consistently and accurately met
- Support decisions and recommendations with data and thoughtful analysis, with an understanding of the Cafe operator perspective
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure alignment on media strategy and creative, project timelines and relevant KPIs in advance of all campaigns.
- Identify new and emerging industry trends, opportunities and best practices that will help support a frictionless guest experience, drive our business, and create competitive advantage
Partnerships
- Help establish and manage innovative partnerships and programs across a variety of verticals to drive awareness and relevance of brand. Explore, manage, and execute partner collaborations across owned, paid and partner channels.
- Work collaboratively across internal departments and stakeholders to gain alignment on program elements and initiatives.
- Act as the liaison between external partner contacts (and/or their agencies) and internal departments to oversee and project-manage the execution of contractual deliverables, while providing exceptional client service and regular status updates to all relevant team members
- Assist with cross-functional navigation of any legal, tax, treasury, or accounting system requirements necessary to execute marketing promotions at scale
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or media/advertising
- Analytically minded: ability to use data to back up recommendations
- Attentiveness to detail
- Ability to independently translate high-level goals into actionable, measurable plans
- A highly collaborative relationship builder
- Preferred experience in media either client-side or agency-side
- Preferred experience in QSR, franchised businesses
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with variety of analytics platforms (Nielsen, Scarborough, MRI, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, PowerBI, etc.) a plus
- Basic understanding of media planning/buying/reporting
- Hands-on experience with search, social, programmatic digital a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Atlanta-based hybrid position with standard of 3 days per week in office (Tues-Thurs) and work from home Mon & Fri.
- Must be comfortable working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
