Overview: Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes: the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL); two development league teams – the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL); and esports teams through Counter Logic Gaming, a leading North American esports organization, and Knicks Gaming, an NBA 2K League franchise. More information is available at www.msgsports.com. Role Summary: The MSG Sports Event Presentation team is looking for experienced Stage Managers for the 2023-2024 seasons! This role will be part of the Event Presentation team and help support and execute the in-game fan experience during Knicks and Rangers home games. This is a part time seasonal position based in New York. Candidates must be available to work nights. weekends and holidays (start time: 5 hours before game time) and to work a minimum of 50% of all home games. Will work other non-arena events as requested. Specific Functions/Activities Summary:
  • Communicate directly with large groups of fans during Knicks/Rangers home games
  • Attend production meeting
  • Assist in the preparation of game materials (scripts, run down, etc.)
  • Facilitate all performers or special guest needs
  • Engage with fans during promotions on the court/ice and in the stands
  • Review game scripts and content with Knicks/Rangers show caller
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years Live production skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Entertainment/pop culture savvy; sports knowledge preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity and flexibility
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Be extremely comfortable and confident when interacting with large crowds
  • Strong personal skills
  • Be prompt, with a flexible schedule
  • Professional and respectful
  • Presentable (i.e. well-groomed)
  • Previous leadership experience in the sports/ entertainment industry preferred
TIME COMMITMENT:
  • Start time: 5 hours before game start
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 50% of all team home games
  • Other non-arena events as requested
