Job Description

NetherRealm Studios seeks an Associate Technical Artist, Cloth (Temp) who will assist the Tech Art Team in day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to cloth setup, character weighting and rigging, and implementation. This person will work closely with the team’s Senior Technical Artists.

Job Responsibilities

Use industry-standard 3D packages as well as proprietary team tools to create cloth and hair simulation assets for assigned development projects.
Review, polish, and bug-fix cloth and hair simulations.
Participate in departmental meetings to share personal ideas for workflow efficiency.

Work Experience

Must possess good artistic skills and a working knowledge of 2D/3D art production.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training, or Certification

At least a 2-year 2D/3D art degree or equivalent. BFA is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Must be proficient in Maya.
Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong interest in computer or video games.
MotionBuilder skills are a plus.
Familiarity and comfort with cloth simulation tools would also be a plus.

Other Requirements

Self-motivated.
Able to communicate with a variety of disciplines to reach solutions.
Self-sufficient in reaching out to others within the character team or outside of it.
Able to work effectively with both large and small teams.
Highly organized.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $43,680.00 - $81,120.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
