Role Description

This is a role for a Festival Moderator at the Big Apple Film Festival, taking place November 10-13 in NYC. The Festival Moderator will be responsible for introducing film screenings and moderating Q&A sessions with filmmakers and industry professionals, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience for participants and attendees. The role includes coordinating the flow of events, engaging with the audience, and managing discussions to keep them informative and engaging.

Qualifications

Excellent Communication and Public Speaking skills
Proven experience in Event Coordination and Audience Engagement
Familiarity with the Independent Film Industry and Filmmaking Community
Familiarity with the film festival landscape
Preferably experience in working with film festivals
Ability to work independently and remotely
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Passion for film and the arts
Previous moderation or facilitation experience is a plus
