We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to join our dynamic IT team. This internship offers hands-on experience in systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world IT environments, tools, and challenges.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Support virtual machine (VM) setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize PowerShell and command-line tools for automation and diagnostics.
- Help monitor and enforce security measures including firewalls and access controls.
- Collaborate with IT staff and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Document technical procedures and solutions.
Requirements and Skills
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience or coursework involving virtual machines and virtualization platforms.
- Proficiency with PowerShell or other command-line interfaces.
- Awareness of IT security principles including firewalls and access control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in IT support or system administration
Required Education
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or comparable field of study
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR have graduated in the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are August/September 2025 through December 2025
- The rate of pay for this internship is $40/hour
