The Affiliate Programming and Compliance Manager will act as a primary contact for all American Urban Radio Networks affiliate broadcast and production entities reporting to the Senior Vice President, Program Operations & Affiliations. The employee will be responsible for compiling data, verifying through observation, and clearance of commercials from affiliate radio stations. This is an office position located in our New York or Pittsburgh office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively providing support for advancing good business relationships for the Company with its affiliated radio stations.
- A forward thinker able to embrace strategic goals, manage related projects, and execute sequential steps necessary for a successful conclusion.
- Verifying radio commercial clearance by listening to commercials and programs on websites.
- Assist and support affiliating stations in completing and filing appropriate online Certificate of Performance/Affidavits reports in a timely manner.
- Provide a source of contact with affiliates for inquiries in all areas of affiliate relations, communication, and recruitment via email, text, and telephone.
- Compile monthly reports tallying all stations’ weekly commercial clearances.
- Calculate monthly compensation for stations based on their monthly tallies.
- Generate accounting pay vouchers for stations based on each station’s calculated compensation and save all weekly spot schedules and cure sheets to archives.
- Provide monthly updates of the accounts payable spreadsheet based on affiliate pay vouchers and provide notification of show terminations.
- Track and analyze metrics to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the programs.
- Compile quarterly affiliates list for distribution within the company.
- Continue best practices of affiliate management, including:
- Relationship Management in support of annual planning/budget submissions and confidential and time-sensitive data-centric queries
- Financial optimization, including motivating affiliates to provide maximum exposure and revenues
- All support materials with focus on login credentials, download of instructions/programs, format clocks and promos, schedule mixers, etc., plus due date schedules and Sales funnel
- The employee is responsible for other duties as may be required from time to time, commensurate with the role and the needs of the Company.
Applicant Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge and contacts with radio stations across the United States.
- Minimum of five or more years of experience providing support between a radio network and its affiliates.
- Proven success in managing a partnership/affiliate program that generated at least five figures per month.
- Ability to build strong relationships and create long-term connections with affiliates.
- Detailed analytical problem solver who enjoys taking initiative.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, follow-up, and works well in a collaborative team environment.

- Low Travel - will be required to fly and meet affiliates or attend a conference a couple of times a year

Compensation: Pittsburgh, PA: $105,000 - $115,000; New York City NY: $126,000 - $138,000
