The Device Brand Studio, a creative studio within Devices & Services at Amazon is seeking a talented, creative, experienced Art Director to help us bring new Amazon offerings to market—products, services, brands, and categories. The Sr Art Director will drive the visual identity for large programs and initiatives across Amazon Devices, including new-to-world and new-to-Amazon. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of branding, corporate identity, and translating brand values into stunning product detail pages for customers. We’re looking for a teammate that has the ability to work independently and alongside other design team members, creatives, and business partners.
You should have deep knowledge and practical experience with brand guidelines, concept decks, strategic input briefs, and creative briefs at a top consumer-facing brand like Amazon. You should be comfortable engaging entry-level through executive stakeholders and working with many different types of creative professionals and creative outputs. Because the work is so varied, fast-paced, and high pressure, you should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
You will partner closely with a variety of peers and stakeholders such as customer research, brand strategy, content strategy, copy, art direction, retail, go-to-market, event, and site merchandising to achieve key strategic goals. You will develop high-level design concepts that tell a cohesive story across product detail pages, merchandising assets, retail fixtures, and packaging. This role is for a highly capable design lead who can direct internal and external creative resources and who has the composure and communication skill to effectively present to senior executives.

- Concept, design and execute innovative design systems and branding guidance that can apply across multiple channels
- Partner with copywriters, designers, program managers, developers and producers to create customer-focused solutions
- Independently lead campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients and external agency partners
- Deliver high-quality designs and stellar art direction for campaigns across different Amazon touchpoints
- Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies and internal partners
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing to meet deadlines
- Leverage data to create obsessed work that delivers results
- Mentor and inspire junior designers and creatives
- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions
- Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles
- Exceptional knowledge of design software including Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Strong attention to visual details and aesthetics.
- Create work within established guidelines specific to the brand's intended style and tone.
- Responsible and dedicated with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver high-end design solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
