We’re looking for a Vice President, Brand Strategy & Creative to lead our strategic and creative client offering. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for blending creative, culture and data to develop and sell barrier-breaking ideas that excite clients and drive business.
You’ll work across 30+ brands, guiding ideation, shaping creative narratives, and ensuring our work is always strategic, culturally relevant, and actionable in the context of real-world consumer behavior and modern media.
This is a hybrid role, based in our New York office or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What you’ll do:
-
Lead creative strategy ensuring all client-facing concepts are grounded in insight and aligned with brand goals and cultural impact.
-
Translate data-driven audience and cultural insights into compelling creative strategies and client narratives, proactively identifying growth opportunities beyond initial briefs.
-
Develop a repeatable framework for how starpower responds to briefs, including tools, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across teams and clarity in idea development.
-
You will use qualitative research, cultural mining, and competitive intelligence to inform creative development — not just instincts and trends.
-
Drive idea development in partnership with account leads, ensuring each campaign is built around a strong insight, cultural relevance, and clear objectives including potential for talent integration, earned amplification, and platform storytelling.
-
Champion innovation by encouraging the team to push boundaries while staying rooted in what will deliver real business impact and lifestyle resonance.
-
Mentor and guide teams during brainstorms and creative development, elevating the strategic and creative quality of our output and developing future creative leaders.
-
Own client presentations alongside account leadership—clearly articulating the “why” behind the work and driving buy-in at the highest levels with a strong POV grounded in brand growth and cultural fluency.
-
Partner with strategic collaborators internally and externally to enhance creative thinking with real-time trends, data, and platform insights as well as emerging creator and celebrity talent relationships.
-
Identify cultural moments and trends to develop quick-turn, reactive creative activations that position our brands as agile and culturally relevant.
-
Support business development efforts, helping shape compelling strategic narratives to win new business with a focus on integrated partnerships and culture-forward creative ideas.
This position is a perfect fit for you if:
-
Our Company values – Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an “I” – really speak to you.
-
Your approach is human-centered and culture-obsessed, driving ideas rooted in both consumer insights and cultural relevance.
-
You have strong cultural fluency – you live and breathe pop culture and entertainment and are passionate about inserting brands into cultural moments.
-
Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are excited to build and evolve systems as we grow.
-
Are both a strategic thinker and a creative leader, excited by the intersection of pop culture, brand purpose, and talent influence.
-
You are adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus as we grow. When things change, so do we. We’re always evolving.
-
You thrive in fast-changing environments and have a strong pulse on pop culture, awards shows, seasonal tentpoles, and trend cycles—and you know how to insert brands authentically into those moments.
-
An adept multitasker who can fluidly switch contexts between different brands and project types—whether it's a brand platform, a social-first moment, or an award-season activation.
What you should have:
-
10+ years of experience in brand strategy, creative concepting, or content development— preferably within a cultural territory like music or sports and within an agency or entertainment environment.
-
Award-winning creative portfolio showcasing category-relevant campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and talent-driven executions.
-
Proven track record of leading high-performing creative campaigns and winning client trust.
-
Deep understanding of talent/influencer marketing, social media strategy, and integrated campaign development including hands-on experience with talent negotiations and brand/creator matchmaking.
-
Confident presenter and communicator, with experience translating insights into sellable ideas for executive audiences and connecting cultural relevance to measurable business outcomes.
-
Strong storytelling and deck-building skills, with the ability to visually articulate concepts and guide design partners on mock-ups and brand expressions.
-
High level of organization and an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
-
Ability to lead effective ideation and brainstorming against any budget tier, with proven experience tailoring how an idea breaks into culture whether a project has a $100K or $1M budget.
-
A deep understanding of what makes ideas newsworthy, shareable, and culturally relevant.
Who you are:
-
Creative: You spot connections others miss and turn them into magnetic ideas.
-
Strategic: You love a clear insight and know how to build an idea around it.
-
Collaborative: You rally teams and clients to do their best work together.

Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach. Real Chemistry believes we are best together – and our workplace strategy fosters connection and collaboration in person – but also supports flexibility for our people.
