About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Advertising Assistant to join our corporate advertising team. This role will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our paid media campaigns across a variety of platforms — Amazon, Meta, Google, Target Roundel, and more — across all stages of the marketing funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion).
This position will work closely with team members focused on adult and children’s books across a wide range of genres, as well as our plans to expand audio advertising. The candidate’s support will ensure smooth campaign execution, vendor coordination, and internal workflow management, enabling the rest of the team to focus on high-impact strategic initiatives.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. What You’ll Do:
Campaign Execution Support
- Open design jobs and manage ad asset timelines within internal systems
- Submit campaign assets and creative materials to vendors
- Pull and organize tracked links for paid campaigns
- Maintain live campaign documentation including spend tracking and performance recaps in coordination with the data analyst on the team
- Oversee invoicing and payment processing in coordination with finance and external vendors
- Coordinate vendor availability and meeting scheduling
- Maintain campaign checklists and process documentation
- Set up and maintain lookalike audiences across platforms (Meta, Google, etc.) Assist with negative keyword upkeep on live Amazon campaigns
- Regularly pull and organize user reviews (e.g., Goodreads, Amazon) for advertising use
- Support updates and upkeep of Amazon A+ content and brand store pages
- Liaise with external vendors to confirm placements, specs, and timelines
- Assist with new vendor research and onboarding
- Track key calendar milestones related to campaign launches and media deadlines
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, digital advertising, or publishing preferred Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Comfort working in spreadsheets and project management tools (Excel/Google Sheets, AirTable, etc.)
- Interest in digital media, publishing, or advertising operations
- Familiarity with platforms like Amazon Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or Google Ads is a plus
