Bally Sports is looking for a collaborative, independent part-time freelance/temporary Research Analyst to work within our Research department. This person will assist with reports and analyses that are used by ad sales, marketing, partnerships, and programming at various levels within the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with linear television viewership reports and analyses. Using Nielsen data and software, the analyst will pull data from NLTV, understand and interpret the data, and write insights about our viewers
  • Utilize Scarborough and YouGov data and software to create audience insights for several of the Bally Sports teams (MLB, NBA, NHL)
  • Potential to work on digital, social, brand, and primary research projects
  • Attend various meetings & take meeting notes
  • Maintain an organized SharePoint site

What To Bring:

  • Must have solid experience with Powerpoint and be comfortable with Excel. Regular use of pivot tables, vLookups, and other calculations are needed
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • The team is based in Los Angeles, but will consider remotely-based candidates depending on skillset

The candidate will have strong time management, organizational and project management skills. Ability to balance a strong attention to detail while also maintaining a focus on the high level, strategic relevance of the recommendations being made. Meticulously organized, comfortable aggregating and manipulating large data sets efficiently and accurately. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Can explain statistical or technical concepts in a clear, easy to understand way. This position reports to the Head of Research.

This is a Part-time position (20-25 hours a week)

The hourly compensation range for this role is $20.00 to $30.00. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
